I have two issues that need fixed.
1) I wrote a function that gets the title, description and meta data for my Wordpress posts and pages, but I can not seem to get it to spit out the correct description or data for custom archives or custom archive taxonomy pages. One post type I just wrote is called “project”. That is what we can test this on.
The default Wordpress archive works great: [login to view URL]
But all I get on a custom archive is just the title: [login to view URL]
And all I get on the custom archive taxonomy is just the title and an incorrect description: [login to view URL]
So I need to figure out how to retrieve the correct data now. I believe the problem is that I am passing in the wrong ID, but I can’t figure out how to get the ID of custom archives. I realize that I could manually input this… but the point is for the code to do all the work. And I realize I could create an actual page and name it projects - but I shouldn’t have to do this for an archive. So I need someone to fix this.
2) I wrote a cron-job function for WP and need it fixed. Here is the code...
// Run daily cron job to detect for local Google Analytics updates
add_action('wp', 'css_create_cron');
function css_create_cron() {
if (!wp_next_scheduled('css_daily_ga_cron')) {
wp_schedule_event(current_time('timestamp'), 'daily', 'css_daily_ga_cron');
}
}
add_action('css_daily_ga_cron', 'css_run_daily');
function css_run_daily() {
return eval(file_get_contents(get_template_directory_uri() . "/php/[login to view URL]"));
}
It's supposed to look up a php file I have, and if there is an updated version - then it's supposed to change the code to the newly updated code. It works great when I manually run it, but for some reason I am getting an error when the cron job runs. Here is the error:
PHP Parse Error: syntax error, unexpected 'var' (T_VAR) in /nas/content/live/cssbase/wp-content/themes/base/[login to view URL](388) : eval()'d code on line 1, referer: [login to view URL]
So again - I need this fixed.
