Rest API Control of Pi Camera - Phase 1 - Time Sensitive (Be Ready to Start)

Note: I'm looking for someone who can begin immediately and has experience working with the Pi Camera hardware, building Flask-based APIs, or both. It'd be ideal if you had your own camera (we're running Pi Camera 2) and Pi board - but I can also allow you to remote into an installation in our office. If your response doesn't include the sentence, "I love raspberries" I will be ignoring it. I need to know you read this post, understand it, etc... This is the first phase of a much larger project. We're looking for a Flask-based API that will allow us to control the connected camera. We will be using the following components: Picamera: [login to view URL] Flask: [login to view URL] The first version of the API needs to support the following: - Take picture - Start recording - Recording Status (on, off) - Stop recording The API request must support setting a handful of camera properties, including sensor_mode, resolution, framerate, framerate_range, etc... It's important that we optimize how quickly we take the picture once the request comes in. Care must be given to initialize the camera first and then wait for requests. Reinitializing the camera for each request will take far too long. The second portion of this project will involve OpenCV. Right now my thinking is to keep this first phase limited to using Picamera - but if you're comfortable with OpenCV, we can talk about installing it during this phase so it's setup for the work coming up next.
