There are three reports in our inventory system:
- Product Availability
- Outstanding Purchase Orders by product, by date
- Outstanding Sales Quotes by product, by date
We've made an excel sheet that takes the data from those three reports.
It combines them with a series of vlookups that looks at each date and calculates stock levels on that date. The excel sheet works just fine, but we need to convert it to PowerBI, because the nested vlookups looking at each week, over 4000 items, 400 POs and 5000 Sales lines brings excels to its knees on an i5.
Instead of us copying and pasting these three reports, you must get the data from the Dear API. It isn't exactly the same as the reports but it's very similar:

The project structure will be:
Milestone 1 - 1% project cost - deliver a PowerBI project that pulls down a list of sales and shows it in a nice interface.
Milestone 2 - 99% project cost - deliver something that replaces the excel sheet.
