Holding companies

A student is required to search and write about a real-life business combination case and discuss the motives, impact, and results of such combination. ​ Requirements: - Pre-Starting: (how can I start?) A student • must pick a public company (local or international) _ each student has a different company. Note that the company is a holding (parent) company. • must post her chosen company on the discussion board (on Blackboard) _ First come First served. • is not allowed to change her chosen company - Post-starting: (what the paper about?) A student must cover all topics mentioned below: • Provide a brief background of the companies involved in the business combination case chosen. • Discuss in details the motives, impact, and financial results of such combination. • Support the paper with graphs and explanation about how investor discloses such combination in the financial statements. • Connect the information in the paper with what have been covered throughout the semester. Important information: • A student should post her paper by the end of week 13 on Blackboard ( Specific date and time is provided by an instructor here ) • Plagiarism will not be tolerated; any copy and paste attempts will result in a student getting “0” in the assignment. The research paper: • Should be a minimum of 4 pages and a maximum of 6 pages • Use a proper English; (you may use [login to view URL] to help) • Font type Arial, size 12 • Spacing is double-line (2.0) • Normal margin (2.54 cm) • Proper use of references and citation is required. • References should be listed in a separate references page.
