We are a Melbourne based start-up company in Australia. We currently seek an experienced Shopify (Ruby) developer to write a customised delivery modular for us. The uniqueness of our requirement. • Delivery Area: We want to be able to set delivery area based on AUSTRLIAN POSTCODE. For example: We can ONLY deliver to customer whom are within 5km radius of Melbourne CBD. The key information is the POSTCODE of MELOURNE CBD – 3000 & RADIUS (distance), which is the 5KM. • Nominated delivery address (as an option) To suit our business model, if the client lives outside of our deliver area, but the client happen to work or regularly travel to within the boundary of our delivery area, we want to have the opportunity to service them. For example: After capturing the basic address information from the client, a match process should check the postcode. When the client is outside the of the deliver area, we would like to ask the client to input a postcode for an alternate deliver address, which may fall within the boundary • Delivery Window (Time Slot): We only offer delivery on certain days of the week. So we need to dictate the DATE and TIME SLOT we are able to provide delivery service. All Time slot will display on the screen, with the unavailable slot greyed out (Disabled). We have pre-defined 4 possible outcomes o Available o Delivery unavailable due to delivery to this time slot being full o We don’t offer delivery on those days. o Selected. *all 4 outcomes needs to be color coded, from the usability point of view The control we need are: o Define the time slot. For example: 60 mins per time slot, or 240 mins per time slot o Define which date we offering delivery serving: For example: Only offer Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday. For the visual concept please see the attached image: Time Slot • Integration with check out process: we are using Shopify standard checkout process, so this delivery module need to be add to the part of the checkout process. The proposed process will be: o Login -for existing user / Registration - for new user – (existing checkout process) o Select Delivery Window (this new proposed module) o Review & Make Payment – (existing checkout process) o Receipt and confirmation - (existing checkout process) Our selection will be based on Cost: value for money, please read this document clearly before biding for the job. We will not necessary reward this job based on the cheapest price Time: we would like this to be developed within 2 weeks after we have reached an agreement. Payment: Progress Payment. At starting 40%, ready for testing (user testing which is us) 20%. On acceptance we will paid the reminder of the 40% Ease of use: We want a solution that we can manage ourselves, have a GUI would be nice. As the business grew we will need to change those requirements / parameters, For example increase the delivery area. From 5KM to 10KM radius based on a postcode, another example offer more delivery service on 5 night of a week, instead 3 nights of a week. IF GUI is costly, we can do with a detailed documentation also. Support: We are a new business, we have lots of new ideas, so we constantly refining our business model and process. So we do required a bit of patience and prompt responses from you, especially at begin. But we are interested in establish a long term relationship with you, instead of just using you for this project.

Hi there, Hope you are doing well! By looking at your requirement, found that i have worked on the modules you have provided in different projects and that perfectly match with it. Prjects like delivery date, blockout dates, store locator, check out process with additional details. Here's the project plan: -We will be going to create an app using Shopify api for managing settings like delivery dates, distance allowed from store, time slots. - we are going to use google api for managing distance thing. - managing the time slots, allowed delivery per day according to that we will provide different options to customer. - Code for passing additional details to custimer order. - Client and server side validations for consistency.
