Ongoing Programming Support for law firm (7 - 10 hours per week)

Estate First Lawyers is an innovative law firm that provides estate planning legal services heavily supported by documentation automation and automated processes. We are looking for a programmer to support and extend this automation. The role is a contract position, with regular contract work of approximately 7 to 10 hours a week, with extended hours during project periods. The role primarily involves Python and SQL scripting within the firm’s practice management system (Lexus Nexus Affinity). You will work closely with the firm’s precedent team in developing, testing and maintaining document and process automation. You will also assist the finance team in creating and maintaining reports presented in Excel and based on SQL queries. This role would suit a freelancer or small agency wanting a steady, stable stream of consistent work. The successful candidate will develop a strong relationship with the firm, work in alignment with the firm strategy and contribute to solution design as well as implementation. The role will include new project work as well as maintaining the existing suite of documents. Your Skills Commercial experience, ideally within a professional services firm, as a Programmer working with object oriented programming languages. Python experience is preferred but a demonstrated ability to quickly learn a new language will be highly regarded.
