Hello, I am derek, i understand the requirement, you need a pragram to convert data from pdf/rtf/doc/txt to excel(.xls/.xlsx). I can do that. I have three years of development experience and familar with office development. I want to develop the program using openxml, either c++ or python is available. To keep it simple, the source data format should preferably be .txt, of course, .rtf and doc/docx is ok. I am a new freelancer, so i don't have any cases, but i will try to do it best. Best regards

I am .NET develop and have over 3 years experience in developing desktop based applications. I develop complex excel spreadsheets on a daily basis. As per your requirements below, I do not find that it would be hard to generate the excel spreadsheet. However, the main concern lies in extracting the data from the Lexis Nexis data file. Since as you mentioned that the file can be provided in varying formats different mechanism would need to be employed to extract the required data from them. For me to comment further on how the work would be done, I would need the following: 1) Samples of each of the different formats of the Lexis Nexis Data Files 2) Details regarding to what data needs to be extracted from each of different format files 3) The format in which the excel sheet would need to be generated

I find it's the simplest, easiest and most user-friendly way to do what you're requesting.
