Do some 3D Modelling

computer graphics project, you are required to create a computer graphics program that visually communicates a concept and/or data for a scientific, engineering and/or educational purpose. Your task is to determine what kind of computer visualization would best communicate your chosen topic/concept/data and implement it in your preferred graphics API/program. You will also be asked to document your development – submitted as a final report *********

The topic chosen is earthquakes around the pacific ring of fire. a proposal has been uploaded to be used as a guide.

I have also uploaded a proposal for the project.

So in total there is two things that has to be handed up on the due date. one is the program. and another is the report.

Sample on how to go on writing the report has also been uploaded. The report content and format has to be similar to the sample report given.

The program could look and have a similar content like the one found on this link. I hope the final program implemented will work similarly like the one in the link.

Do no need to aim to create a commercial product. Aim for a prototype that doesn’t necessarily look fully polished, but is able to demonstrate all of the computer graphics elements (models, textures, camera control, lighting, transformations, animation, user interaction…) you feel are necessary to achieve a high quality CG program. Thereafter explain and justify why you think these elements were necessary/beneficial in your report. Never include an element for the sake of including it. Always consider ‘why is your visualization useful?’ and how can it be supported/enhanced via the use of your chosen CG elements.

Perhaps the only thing I’ll ask you to consider it to not overlook automatic camera control. I think this project offer a real opportunity to implement some interesting control to really highlight the significant aspects to the user. You may also wish to consider how the user could interact with your visualization to help them learn more about your data.

All of the program coding need to be submitted as well. This computer graphics is to be done on OpenGL.
