I was born and raised until 11 in South Korea, and moved to the States. Ever since then, I have been living in the Southern California area. Recently I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with B.S in Material Science Engineering. Therefore, I do have an extensive knowledge in fields including not only day to day conversation but also some of the cutting-edge technology. Whatever the demand is, I am confident that I can fulfill the request.
The moment I came across this job posting, I was confident that I am the right fit for the translator position. I have always had the passion for translation which I can effectively help the others who would not be able to access the given information without the proper translation. Also, translation is such a sophisticated process which one needs to be able to pick up the subtle cultural difference between two countries.
Some might be questioning about my competency due to the long period of time I spent in the U.S. I speak in Korean with my friends and family but I mainly speak in English at my work and school. Therefore, I consider myself as a perfect candidate for this position, as I am the paragon of Korean-American who successfully synchronized to the American culture while preserving the Korean root.
