Hello Freelancers,
We are looking for a web developer, or a web development team, to help build out a website where US visitors will visit sites and watch videos in exchange for gift cards and cash. This involves cloning the essential features of one of the more popular websites that does this sort of thing, plus making a few cosmetic changes. I am a developer myself, but don't have experience building this type of thing which is why we're farming it out. We would prefer the site be built using HTML and Python, and hosted on a standard LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack.
The site itself will be pretty simple, consisting of a First Page, Login Page, Main Page post-login, an "offers" section, a "watch" section, and a "profile" section, where users can see additional offers and see what they've earned using these services.
If you're experienced, you know that the simplest pages are often the most complex, and this site if done properly will feature API integration with numerous 3rd parties (Google, Facebook), and the creation of multiple databases containing user information, earned revenue, site analytics, among other things.
We expect the site to be done in a few weeks, plus an additional week for bug fixing, troubleshooting, and additional features, the last of which will earn you more money in additional milestones. We will have a Google Doc to handle all of the different tasks needed to complete the site and you'll need to work there too.
On top of that, you MUST help us actually deploy this website and have it work as intended. It's not enough to give us the code and say "good luck." We're most likely going to deploy it on AWS so have experience doing that.
Once that's done, that's when you get paid. I don't pay for half-complete programs. But I always pay, and check my job history for confirmation. Budget is around $1K USD.
Last point--you must have a pleasant attitude and be enjoyable to work with. If you have a bad attitude, we'll cut you and find someone else. Life's too short to work with jerks.
We hope this will be a long-lasting relationship where we would have you be one of the primary developers on the site and that will hopefully mean several months / years of continued work.
