The project related with this maintenance plan is Canteen Inventory Management System. It is an application software which maintains the inventory of CSD canteens of Indian Armed Forces. Billing transaction is executed and finally at the end of the day stock is matched by having n number of different types of reports by the application. There is a third party software called Tally is being used in the canteens for maintaining their Financial Accounting System. The inventory and transacted data is taken from CIMS Software and changed into financial data through this third party Tool. Smart Canteen Inventory Management System is a cost-effective, easy-to-use point-of-sale solution for small, mid sized and large Canteens. It is developed not with the aim to just use Smart Card Technology but with the aim to provide a Standardized software that uses this technology to extend canteen benefits to Indian Armed Personnel – securely thus enabling Canteen Management to efficiently manage inventory and customers. The traditional and Internet technology employed helps streamline POS operations and maximize profitability. From point-of-sale to delivery, one can increase customer flow and cash-in, speed up lines and tasks, and automate purchasing with this scalable, Web-ready solution.
