We have a book anthology coming out for children and we need a cover. The book will be called, The Wicked Witch Anthology. Which has short stories for kids to read about witches and fairies. We would love to see what you guys can come up with. We don know exactly what we want. We would love to have a standard wicked witch on a broom flying across the cover with some scenery behind (more darker scenery with oranges like a halloween sky). We would love it to be sketched and colored in for the Main cover.

The cover is size: 6inches wide by 9 inches tall

Create a layout on the cover that we can use for all the other books we are doing. A layout that allows us to change the title of the book and the picture but keep it looking like it belongs in a collection. The sketch for the cover must be rendered, no black and white.

Also try to incorporate layout the picture with title and author to be listed. Keep in mind this is part of a series of anthologies. There is going to be more than one of these books in the series. We arent set on font but it does need to have a great layout with the picture you drew and rendered. We havent set ourselves on the font yet.

Think storytime witch flying on a broomstick across a moon in the sky or something with a nice background not too dark, we do not just want a witch we would like something behind the witch if it is flying on a broomstick.
Get creative we want original work/artwork. We want kids to see it and want to pick it up and read it, kids do care about the covers. The witch can be flying on a broomstick across the front cover, she can be falling out of the sky (because she does that in the book).

Attached some witch inspiration to inspire the contest. Winner will need to sketch a cover, render it and layout the full cover with title and author included.

1. Sketch an image with a witch flying on a broomstick, Render and color in the image.
2. Create a layout with that colored in image (for the book front cover size 6 inches wide by 9 inches tall)
3. Add the Title and the Author, and submit to contest.

Added more to the prize but I want better entries with original work. Please read description. I'm looking for something original and that stands out for a childrens book. we want a witch with black raggedy clothes, dark hair and a wart, not a super pretty witch.

Added some other witches to show you the direction we want the witches to look and feel. They dont' have to be green but they should have characteristics of a halloween witch.
