I need some help designing the background for a flyer of an art show.

I need the artist to be in the bottom left corner, and the factory to be in the top right. The colors don't matter (it could be in black and white), I just need a smooth transition between the two. The middle of the flyer needs to be simple so that type can be read easily. (I will handle the type, don't worry about that).

I gave it a go myself, but was having some trouble. Ill attach the file so you can see what i was going for and can have a head start.
