Dr Tree Logo Development

Dr Tree is a local business based in Sandringham, Melbourne, Australia. It is a small business run by Ben Hohnen who has 30 years experience as an Arborist and tree pruning specialist. The business is set up to cater for small to medium scale residential work, mostly in the local area. Most projects will require only Ben and one other person to be on site.

The business focus is on friendly and personal service. Dr Tree works with the top level of professionalism and, due to the small scale, is extremely cost effective. Dr Tree is able to work very closely with the customer to really care for their trees and achieve a beautiful and easy to manage result.

We are looking for a single colour logo which is simple and elegant, easy to recognise, and friendly.

The concept is an original designed tree motif with the words “Dr Tree” below or beside and below this the business slogan “Pruning Services”.

Other factors which are not essential but could add to the quality are:
* Drawing reinforces idea of tree pruning nature of the business
* Tree to look styled or pruned.
* Tree style is Australian (or at least not too obviously European)

Examples of other tree motifs are included and detailed as a reference.

Example A - This design is very clear but a little too simplistic. We like the text to the side.

Example B - This design has a good tree shape but has too many sharp angles. There is also an issue with the branches looking like a tree monster with eyes.

Example C - This design is too complex and the points on the branches draw too much attention. We want the complexity to be somewhere in between Example C and Example A.

Example D - This design has the Australian tree shape that we like. We do not like the way the tree trunk is bending and feel that the detail of the leaves are too fine.

Example E - An example of Australian looking leaves. Notice how the leaves are longer and have a slight curve compared to Example B. This is optional as the best design might have the leaves of the tree represented as more of a block or shape of colour.
