The task is to design a logo for a brand called “Particula”. This is the Latin word for “particle”. The brand will focus on nerdy/science/physics concepts. Particle here refers to the type of elementary particles that form all atoms. Atoms are made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons, neutrons, and electrons are made of even smaller particles called elementary particles. There are about 30 different elementary particles and as far as human knowledge goes, these 30 particles are the fundamental building blocks of everything.
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the largest, most complex, and expensive machine in human history. Its goal is to study elementary particles, potential extra dimensions and other quantum physics concepts that sound like from science fiction, but this really is the edge of modern science. Some of the greatest minds who ever lived, like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking have studied this part of physics.
I would like the Particula logo to celebrate the concept of particles as the fundamental building blocks of the universe, and particle accelerators like the LHC as humanity’s primary tool to study elementary particles. Or the logo could be inspired by only 1 or both concepts.
I have included links to 2 videos that explain how the LHC works. The videos have lots of graphics and animations which would help you design the logo. I expect that all bidders would watch the 2 videos. I don’t need you to understand in any detail the videos, so don’t worry if you understand very little. I only need you to get a loose understanding of the LHC that could help you with the logo design.
CERN is the organisation that owns the LHC. Please check the CERN logo to see how it was inspired by particle accelerators like the LHC. This is an example. I have another example but I’m absolutely open to your ideas. The other example is if the logo is the word Particula where the P and A look like connected particle accelerator loops. I have made a drawing. I would like to see this design amongst the options to choose from, but I could pick a completely new design at the end, so looking forward to your creative ideas!
The design must be new and not copied from anywhere. I will need the file in editable vector format. I’m imagining the end design as transparent background and 1-colour logo but again – I’m open to your creative ideas, so all styles are welcome.
