Resumen del concurso

We are building a new e-commerce website ( womanishop.com ) which will offer various goods for women. Think about lingeries, jewellery, clothes, etc.
We need a nice and clear logo for this, with the following criteries:

- it has a positive, encuraging feel. It can be a bit sexy too, but not too much, the target audience is women not men
- it is obvious at the first glance that this is about shopping and women
- it is general enough to cover wide range of products targeted for woman (probably a silhoutte with a cart, or with bags etc)
- there is no limit in using colors
- the word "womanishop" should be part of the logo, probably with a variant with a (translatable) subtext like "lingeries & jewellery"
- the website will use the Google Open Sans font family ( http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Open+Sans ), you can use it in the deisgn - or use something which looks nice with that (either because it is similar or because it is completely different)

That is about it, good luck and we are awaiting your submissions!

#124 #125 A simple logo works better than some other overdone. The less items you have, the easier it will be to read.

As we are worrking on the layout it's now clear that the logo has to fit in a 43px height area, and it will be on a white background. The width can be maximum 180px. I'm affraid that does't leave enough place for the extra text on the website in the logo, just the "womanishop" and the figure. Those who have a 3 or 4 star logo might consider upload a version of the logo they like the best in that size on pure white background. It's important that the letters should be visible and readable in that size. Thanks again all of you!

One more remark, this logo will appear on a website where the space is limited (as an e-commerce site it's about the products not us) so please make sure the logo is recognisable and nice when scaled down to fit a a 120x40 pixel area. Althought fine details are great when looked at in big size, but as a website logo they won't be visible if too small.

Thanks again for all the submissions, it is really exciting to see all these nice designs. As lot of you put effort into the background i would like to clarify the logo will appear on a clean white background, so please don't make any radiant / colorful / gradient background, just clear white is okay. Also don't get very colorful just for the sake of it, the colors should have a defining role, like to emphasive the womanish attribute of the figurine, or the bag etc.

Thanks again for the submissions, there are already some we like, i would like to emphasize that "lingerie and jewellery" are just examples, don't focus on the visually (that's why the logos with diamonds got low star values), the shop will sell different type of products in the future, the only common in them that these are for women. There might be specialized subdomains with the same logo but different text like "shoes & clothes" or anything like that. Also for now please note that the logo will appear on a white / very light grey background. We like the silhouettes in some of the examples, and it would be nice to see some variant where the silhoutte isn't completely black/monochrome, but has some subtle details on it (so more a stylized figure than a real silhoutte, but not a proper, detailed image for sure). Also it is a great plus if the figure is connected to the text, it is one of the or leans on one of the letters, or something similar.

Thanks for the first submissions, after seeing them let me give you a general fedback: i like the silhoutte idea, but i think it's best if it's connected somehow with the text, not just placed behind / above it. Replaceing a letter with a figure would be too much as the name should stay very clear to read and understand, but the figure can can interact with it in some way to make it more integral part. Thanks again all of you, and feel free to submit more or alternative versions if this info gives you new ideas!
