For this contest there will be 2 winners selected 1 for kitchen area and 1 for living room area

I am looking for a freelancer to help me repair and elevate the current design aesthetics of my kitchen. The ideal candidate should have experience in modern design styles.

Skills and experience required for this project:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of modern design aesthetics
- Experience in kitchen remodeling and design
- Proficiency in selecting, designing or sourcing modern materials and furnishings
- Attention to detail and ability to create a cohesive and visually appealing design
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with the client and understand their vision

The main objectives of this project are:
- Updating the overall look and feel of the kitchen to a modern design style
- Identifying and addressing any issues or areas that need repair or improvement
- Selecting, designing or sourcing modern materials and furnishings
- Creating a cohesive and visually appealing design that meets the client's preferences

Description of the main concern right now: we stopped working in the design of the house because we as family had a new member coming and so many of the things in the house were left half-done or simply we took a "design" shortcut. In this case the kitchen aesthetically speaking was left incomplete. Attached in the files you will find images with the title "kitchen_xyz" refering to how the kitchen looks like right now, there are things that are less than 2 years old and need to be left there and the idea is that you as architect/interior-designer/industrial-designer design the changes to elevate the kitchen to make it more functional and way more aesthetically pleasing. The things that cannot change are:
a) the countertop, is black quartz
b) the sink is also black quartz,
c) the fridge,
d) the dinner table -the one that looks made out of wood-
e) kitchen hood
f) the shape of the storage units.

Things for the kitchen that I would like:
a) you can change color of the tiles or even suggest to remove them
b) I would certainly appreciate more storage units (take a look at the moodboard images) or make your suggestion
c) No false ceiling allowed, I do appreciate more innovative lights and indirect lighting but it has to be without false ceiling
d) the design must/needs to be elevated, with a tendency to japandi BUT has to be functional, intelligent and smart
e) fix the orange edison lighting situation
f) below the "dinner table" you can suggest to put something ( or nothing)

Useful information about sizes:
a) countertop height 91cm, 63 cm of work space to the wall
b) dinner table height 102cm, work area 65cm, length 180cm
c) floor to ceiling 260cm
d) consider melamine of 15mm of heightness for furniture

The delivery of this project must contain colors from sherwin williams or behr, the exploded furniture with all the correct measurements to be cut and build

--------Second problem "The living room"
The next challenge is a second challenge and you can opt to also do it, if you decide to apply for the next challenge submit an additional entry, one for the kitchen and one for the living room. That way you can be awarded twice, both designs are going to be awarded separately so that you earn the double of this contest. If you decide to go for the living room as well, is has to be cohesive or at least transition correctly between the living room and the kitchen or maybe not, it depends on the final aesthetics.

The living room area situation is also a challenge, even though there are not a lot of things, looks like it doesnt have a style of its own. the next list are things that at the moment cannot change:
a) the gray sofa
b) behind the sofa there is a small wood countertop that has electric connections, i would really like to keep it, right now it is wood color, but you can suggest your own
c) the living room table, there is a table in there that has less than 2 years, so we would like to keep it other 2 years but you can suggest a new approachable table, the reason of not chaning it right away is because of toddlers, i would prefer to fully use the table before discarding it
d) the light blue chairs might/might not change, it all depends on the suggestions

Things that you need to be careful with for the living room:
a) No false ceiling allowed, the price of the false ceiling alone is way out of my potential budget, i already made a research on that
b) we have a small space for our toddler that they can play, lets say a toddler's corner, you dont need to include that, but you can consider an area that can be convertible or something
c) I do appreciate art, you can suggest art that can be hung, but you either need to provide the printable size or the provider/artist, just keep in mind not to go for high value art
d) I do use a lot the computer, so most of the times when I am done, it stays in the table and it doesnt quite feel cool, so consider a smart storage or something so that it looks cleaner and classy

The design we want is japandi trend, intelligent and smart for a family that use a lot the computer for work but that doesnt look like there are computers lying around.
