ART IN ARCHITECTURE AND SOCIETY

Art is the conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colours, forms, movements or other elements in a manner to affect the senses or emotions. It is a skill that is attained by study, practice or observation.

Architecture is the art and science of designing and managing the construction of buildings and other structures, well proportionate and decorated.

While every form of art need not be architecture, every form of architecture ought to be an art. The art reflects the society that creates them. Like any form of art, architecture is a process of communication where the designer encodes the messages and the perceiver decodes the same. the communication succeeds when intentions match the experience.

Art in architecture in addition to the visual have spatial and notional role to play as well. In architecture, the building itself is conceived in an art form.

Speaking about the flexibility of architecture, the practice has always had as much of a connection to the arts as it has to the sciences. Art and architecture defines work as "Critical Spatial Practice".

Throughout history, public space was called upon to be the scene of the meeting between people art. There are three main facets: Architecture as build setting for the showcasing of art, an object as art, as environment to be reclaimed by art.

Art plays a vital role in defining aesthetics in architecture as well. Also, art can be of many forms in society like drama, music, action, play, etc. Art varies from tradition to folk to modern.

Every activity has a unique art in it. Art in architecture particularly can be in the form of method of designing or aesthetics.
