A CTP application on TinyOS and Test it on FlockLab -- 2

Objectives:

1. Develop a WSN application with tinyOS;

2. Improve and demonstrate your hands-on and analyt

ic ability with real-world WSN testbed (e.g.,

FlockLab [4]) to investigate some real application.

Problem Statement:

The theme of this project is to implement a data collection application using CTP (Collection Tree

Protocol) with tinyOS. Basically, you have one si

nk node and the rest are sensor nodes in your

application. The sink periodically collects temperat

ure or humidity data from

each sensor nodes using

their on-board sensors (for exampl

e, every 2 minutes). Analyze your

data collected at the sink for one

hour.

1. Investigate how to do data collections from

real-world WSN testbed (e.g., FlockLab). Develop

your application to collect environm

ental data in the real testbed.

2. Investigate one of the open WSN testbeds (e.g., FlockLab or anyone you find), run your

application on a WSN testbed, describe your ex

periments in detail, and collect and analyze

your collected sensor data.
