Add .net API using SDK to a Silverlight app

I Have a Silverlight app,

in the transaction section, we let the user click on the document number and it brings up the actual scanned document stored at by passing the document number to their server. However, there is a security issue this way and we would like to use the SDK to get the document and display via PDF. We would use their .net api features, do have.
