Simple Java web application, that will be used to CRUD (create, read, update, delete) data in the LDAP database.
The basic idea is following:
1. Client side
There will be a simple form on the JSP page, where the data will be displayed or entered.
Clicking one of the buttons on the page will create XML file with the requested operation and entered data. The XML will be sent in the HTTP request using the REST web service.
2. Server side
The REST service resource will call methods for transforming the received XML to the LDAP request.
The subsequent logic will make sure that LDAP request is sent to the LDAP database (openLDAP)
The response from the LDAP server is sent back to the JSP page. If it is response from the CREATE, UPDATE or DELETE operation, the status message from the LDAP server is displayed on the JSP. If it is response from the READ operation, the particular record is displayed on the JSP page.
3. LDAP database
The instance of OpenLDAP server should be used here.
