This is a debt collection defense action.
An ex-employee and close family friend, Rosa Ramirez, owes Midland Funding (a San Diego based debt buying company) $6700 because she did not pay some of her Barclaycard bills. They have sued her in Superior Court in Riverside. A law firm call Hunt and Henriques are the attorneys for Midland.
The response is due by December 25th, as Rosa is certain she was served on November 25th.
Rosa tells me she also owes another $8,000 to Chase (I believe it is Chase), but Rosa has not been sued by them so far.
A response is obviously required, and some suggestions as to how to respond is needed. The ability to be able to write and file that response is also required.
I will be the client in this matter and be responsible for paying the consulting bills. We need to file a general denial, I believe. Can you prepare that in a form required to file with the court, as well as research the conditions to apply for a fee waiver? The defendant is on disability, has very little income and I am sure will qualify. It is late in Bangladesh now- will you be working for a while?
