We are the creators of some fairly large niche entertainment websites that for the most part are run on freely available web scripts (Wordpress, MediaWiki, Coppermine, Ning, etc.) Taking the experience we have from those projects, our team includes designers, long time managers of these sites, but no programmers as of right now.
We are looking to develop our own platform essentially encompassing all the best and most useful functionality from these services and having all of the content work and compliment each other more efficiently and in addition to some new features we've come up with that we've yet to be able to accomplish any other way. Integration with Facebook, Twitter, Digg, and related popular social networking SDKs is also an important part of our vision for this platform.
What is important to us in a programmer/developer is someone who works and communicates efficiently. We are based in Orange County, CA, and would prefer to work with someone in driving distance.
We would like to have the first phase of this project completed no later then the end of August. There will be a good deal of work in the first few months of development and we can pay fairly for it, and there is also potential for ongoing income for ongoing maintenance and additional feature development.
