fix displayed color of html elements

My site has a progress bar and several pages have ui sliders. I have set the color of these elements in a css file. The color shows up fine in Chrome and Safari, but not in IE (I have version 10) or Firefox. I'd like the color to display consistently in all 4 browsers.
