Here is the functionality desired:
Double clicking upon an element should cause ckeditor to open an editor instance to edit that elements contents.
(I have this functionality working)
A ckeditor plugin should be added which will override the standard 'Save' button with a new one called AjaxSave.
Clicking on this new 'AjaxSave' button should do two things:
1) Save the changes made in the editor so they are displayed in the element.
2) POST to an [url removed, login to view] file which receives -
* the name of file that called it - and
* the element id, and
uses that information to change the server file's element id as a permanent change.
It is important! the editor instance is properly destroyed upon completion as we are using this in an Ajax environment and not reloading the page for subsequent uses.
EXAMPLE PAGE: [url removed, login to view]
with a zip file containing basic code and a link to what exists so far.
