This project encompasses creating a site using amazon ec2, S3, simpledb, and php.
The functionality is as follows:
Web Services that:
1.) authenticates.
2.) write records to simple db.
Web Site that:
1.) has a login page and a sign up page.
2.) main page that contains some type of "inbox" layout for the records
for that user. The records would be in simple db. I will give you a wireframe for the layout of the screen.
3.) second page is a view that drills down on the record in item 2 and shows basic info about the record and contains one or more links. I will give you a wireframe for the screen.
4.) ability to click on link above and show file in s3 a particular viewer we have (details revealed once project is finialized), it is very easy to view.
Android app that:
1.) when clicked, either logs in the user, if they have used the system before, or prompts for email and password from the site above. (wire frame will be provided)
2.) shows the layout after logging in of the "inbox" style layout in item 2 above, optimized for the device (android or android tablet). Please note, we would be using the webview component from android for the app portion, so the site would be optimized for the specific device either through css or a redirect. (wire frame will be provided)
3.) drill down layout similar to site in item 3 above. (wire frame will be provided)
4.) ability to show mobile version of viewer similar to item 4 above.
Please note that this android app will use the webview component and will have a back button for navigating backward. It will not have a url address bar (it will be hidden), only the webview to render the pages and the ability to go back.
Please note, all files that the viewer would show will be hosted on s3. You will need to pull the file out of s3 down to ec2 and securely show view from viewer.
I would prefer the web service to be rest based for receiving the file.
The android portion would need an installer for users to run the app.
