We have an email software platform and cater to large volume email marketers. Our monolith Legacy app was originally built in LAMP and is generally a mess of Spaghetti code.
We also use a Commercial MTA which is well marketed but not such a well performing system.
2 months ago I was approached by a Cloud Architect who proposed rebuilding it all using Open Source, SOA and Cloud based approaches: Docker, SALTstack, Node.js, Swagger, ELK, RabbitMQ, Google Cloud, Azure etc.
I loved the idea as it has been a dream of mine for a while to build an amazing, scalable system in the cloud that is totally automated and where an MVP can be rolled out fast because we are using open source.
Not sure if the original guy bit off more than he could chew but 2 months later and all the pieces of the puzzle are not put together and frankly I dont believe this person can close out the deal.
I want a pro (or a few pros) with all the above skills to investigate what we have, give me a realistic time frame to finish and then actually GET THE JOB DONE without quitting, missing deadlines or failing to communicate with me.
This is a TIME SENSITIVE opportunity. I have people with money lined up and ready to be my customers - I just need the platform and I cannot wait forever for it.
This is NOT Just an OPS job - architecture is great and needed but you WILL need serious DEV chops.
