fax2email service - open to bidding

Hello!

I contact you since you have experience on Elastix and several telecom stuff. We are a telephony operator with VoIP and asterisk virtual PBX, and we want to include the FAX2EMAIL service for our customers.

Can you tell me your experience on this? What do you know about faxing service? I have been checking different solutions, and Elastix is just one of many, most of them with opensource apps. Can you tell me your recommendations for stability, good service, fast,..?

Our PBX is located behind some security servers, and the idea is to setup the fax service on a different server. in this way we can make all tests without modifying the main voice service.

The requirements are easy: The fax is sent by an authorised user with an email, body of the email is cover and attachments (pdf or other files) are pages to be sent. On the subject there may be the destination number.

The plattform converts the page into the fax and it is sent. Some solutions have a limitation on channels, in that case queues shall be controlled to know peak delivery times.

The same with reception. Faxes are received on the plattform and converted into an email with pdf attachment. they are sent according to the assigned email address according to the customer's DID.

There must be a file converter tool, user administration (to allow who can use it or not), security issues and email service.

Another question: if the customer has a single DID, can it be used either to receive calls than receiving faxes? How is this managed?

I also have some questions on fax billing, but we can discuss it later.
