Excel & Word Maestro

You must be familiar with: Excel macros, financial functions, cell formatting and Mail Merge with Word.
In addition, you must be experienced in creating powerful but simple-to-use Excel tools which are useful to Excel beginners. Although complicated under the hood, we want the user experience to be 5th-grade simple, even going so far as to trap out and/or correct user errors without crashing the spreadsheet.
US-based. English speaking. Should be available by email or phone during US business hours. Three immediate projects of probably 20-30 hours each and then a few hours per month of maintenance / updates until the next project.
