We are national niche (a gothic/alternative fashion, lifestyle and music) magazine looking for a freelance designer with experience in print magazine layout. We are looking for a designer who has an eye for edgy and unique aesthetics. Advanced to expert knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is required. This project would entail layout and design of 68 pages (85% color pages). Content (photos, articles and ads) is provided. Turn-around time would be 2 weeks max for approved completion. This project has the potential to be long-term (we publish 4 issues a year). This project would begin immediately. Please include a link to your portfolio or send samples of your previous layout work via PM.
Previous magazine layout experience highly preferred.
About Us: We’ve been publishing for 14 years and have a readership of 20,000 to 25,000 with a small international readership as well. We are carried by the majority of the major bookstore chains in the US and Canada.
