he purpose of this project is to collect all the hands played on pokerstars hold'em cash games. The main goal is at each table, pokerstars keeps a hand history. The software must somehow keep track of each open table and the hands played. To start of, only the high stakes games need to be looked at. To understand exactly what we are talking about, please go to [url removed, login to view] and download the software (its free) and open the client. Then go to the no-limit hold'em tab and click on high. Here you should see games ranging from 5/10 to 25/50. If you open one of these tables and click on the top left where it shows the hand number, the hands are listed out. Pokerstars is constantly adding tables if all tables are open, or getting rid of empty tables. We're saying to use this as an example because this category has the fewest number of tables, but eventually we would like ALL the tables. This software has to work in one of two ways: Either it has to keep a log of every hand (same formatting pokerstars uses) in a large text file, with a new text file for each day (or some reasonable increment of time) OR It has to process each hand as they complete and update a mysql database with certain data. There are millions of hands a day for all the tables, and surely several tens of thousands for just the high stakes tables alone, so I don't know which method would be best. The data will just be what the net profit/loss is for each player at the table at the end of each hand. We can provide the parser and the database update scripts, we just need the software to collect all the hands. You can use any programming language you want, as long as the end result is either it updating a mysql database or generating text files. Please, ask all the questions you want!
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4) program must either generate a text file or update a database in accordance with the description Payment Release: 1) All the tables in the high stakes pl/nl game automatically open and collect data in raw form. 2) Convert and store data in format we choose 3) Software works on all the tables we specify, not just the high stakes nl/pl hold'em tables. IT MUST RECORD 100% OF THE HANDS FROM ALL THE TABLES WE SPECIFY!!!!
