Modify Existing Magento Extension

Hi guys and gals,

MAGENTO EXTENSION PROJECT

Prior to bidding please ensure that you view the link to existing extension that requires modification to suit our needs below so you understand the scope of work. I will be providing the winning bidder the complete existing extension package so that they may make the necessary modifications. Essentially this should be a fairly easy project to those with required skills as the main extension is already created.

We have spoken to the extension creators who had quoted us for the work and planned to do the work for us, but are now unable as time does not allow for it.

The extension basically does most of what we require but we would like to strip it back a little and also add some additional features. Essentially we would like to have the notification box work like it does on the following page :( kogan dot com dot au )

It would need to pull existing orders from our completed order database and display them in the notification box as well as show live order data as it occurs. We only need one location for the notification to display so no need for the additional location js files in the current package. Want to keep it simple and load less resources during page load.

We would like to have control over how often the notification is displayed which we can set via admin (eg 1m , 2m , 3m etc)

Notification will load regardless of pages the visitor is on. However, we would like the notification to stop showing once the user is in the checkout process (/checkout/onepage/)

Attached is a brief txt file which pretty much outlines the project details. Also attached is the existing extensions Installation and User Guide. Winning bidder will get the current extension installation files to begin modification process.

I look forward to working with the winning bidder to complete this project. We are hoping to have it completed within the next few days and are looking to hire the right person ASAP.
