Note: I have attached a setup file with doc extension in this submission. After receiving the setup file, please change its extension to exe for installing the software. After installation, open the file: Access Database and then click on the first switch on the switchboard menu. Then the main form interface will be opened for working.

Point of Sales System Tutorial:

This point of sales system works in MS Office suite 2003 office xp. The user will have a single front end form interface, where the user can carry out numerous transactions of product purchases in departmental chain stores with a real time instantaneous print of a money receipt. All the transaction records including the date and time of purchase will be automatically saved in a back end table. At the bottom left there is a text box for entering unique product ids. Once a product id is entered and the enter key is pressed it will automatically generate other sales data, like unit price, quantity, amount etc. Then the user have to click the total amount button, which will automatically calculate the grand total of all the purchased products including applicable value added tax (vat). This vat % textbox has the option of inserting any % value. Then the user have to enter the amount of cash that the customer will provide and have to press the enter key, then the balance amount that the customer will receive will be automatically displayed. Then the user have to click the Refresh All button, which will automatically save the transaction in a back end table, subsequently all the existing sales data will be deleted from the form, a money receipt will be printed automatically and will clear the form for the next transaction. This front end form has some other features, like it can separately carry out a discount on total purchased amount. This discount % textbox has the option of inserting any % value. Also if any product that is not in back end database with a unique id, it has the option of entering data manually for those products and can automatically be combined with a regular transaction. Also, if a customer comes with a product for returning and refund, there is a return button on the main form, with the help of which it can also process the refund amount along with the sales amount. Also each time a transaction is completed it generates a transaction id. For every transaction this transaction id is stored in the data storage table with other sales records and this transaction id is also simultaneously printed on the automatically generated money receipts. You can also view the stock balance of any product at any time. You can search between two specific dates for viewing overall sales status. Also there is an option for enabling user level password, where many users can access the form with their own unique password. Also users have the option of login and logout, enabling the system to store working hour times of employee / staffs in a query. The admin will have the option of viewing the overall status of sales at any particular point of time. That is it has the option of viewing a data access page which can be uploaded to a server and which can be viewed from the internet with password protection.
