We need 2 scripts.
FIRST: We need a script that will conduct google searches everyday for blogs and discussions **by location** for a given subject for the last 24 hours and to get the total number of search total for the search.
For instance, we may want to search for blog posts in or near Baltimore, Maryland that include the phrase "baseball game" and grab the total number of search results which then need to be placed in a table in our mysql database.
Once the script is created we will create a crop job to run the script daily.
SECOND: We need a script that searches Facebook status updates for specific keywords (ie "Football game") for the last 24 hours and collects the total number of search results and places this data in a table in our mysql database.
