I want to create an online marketplace where sellers can sell their own products and a percentage of the selling price goes to the website owner.
I have started implementing this myself using drupal and ubercart marketplace but unfortunately I cannot proceed working on this due to lack of time.
Following is a rough feature-list of the site:
Users should be able to register either as seller or buyer.
All users should have their own account where they can change their specific settings.
Sellers should be able to setup their own personal shop and add products to the shop.
Products can be either "buy-now" items or auction items.
Easy-registration and setup of shop
Nice url to sellers personal shop
Sellers and buyers should be able to rate eachother + comment to add trustworthiness of sellers and buyers
Buyers should be able to create a list of favorite shops
Buyers should be able to ask questions about certain products. i.e each product has attached list of comments
A seller should be able to offer certain discounts
A seller should have different designtemplates available when creating their shop.
The shop should have a presentation about the seller and a, by seller, uploaded logotype
Name of shop should be unique
Buyers should be able to be notified about auctions, i.e auction for product X finishes in 30 minutes
Buyers should be able to choose from different postage options provided by the seller
Shopping cart facility with at least paypal integration.
Front page of website should contain, selected products, product search, and a product catalog etc.
Seller should be able to add addition (comment) to auction product
Ideally I (or my collegue) wants to do the graphic work ourselves, so the developement would only have to be for the back-end functionality.
And the "skinning" does not have to have a userfriendly interface, for example if using drupal we can do the theming/templating
ourselves. We are both "professional" developers so we should be able to find our way around code if someone points us in the right direction.
Thats the really rough functionality. Lots of things are missing and some things might not be 100% necessary but
I think its enough to understand what I want to accomplish and I would look forward for a reply regardingthe cost and the timeframe of the development of this website.
