Create Hotkey for button inside a chrome extension

I need a very simple way to click a button inside an existing Google Chrome extension. It is for the Google Chrome extension 'Chromium browser automation' it has a button which says play, I basically need something which sets up a hotkey that triggers this button within the extension.
Please see attached screen shot, I do not want a macro which clicks as if I was a human, I want something which at the click of a chosen hotkey instantly triggers as if I had pressed play within the extension.
Should be an easy job for the right freelancer.
