Hi -
I need a script written which should be fairly easy and straightforward to import CSV data. Couple of points:
1) it needs to be able to efficiently and expediently import sizable amounts of data (up to 100,000 records).
2) I don't want it to be a stored procedure, it needs to be query based so I can call it from multiple servers via web scripts.
3) I need to be able to dynamically specify the columns. As an example, I need to be able to say "column 4 in the CSV file needs to insert, into Column Name X in the table, column 5 in the CSV file needs to insert into Column Name Y in the table etc.
4) I'd like the above (step 3) to be plainly laid out at the top of the code (via variables if need be) and not buried deep in the query so that developers unfamiliar with the script have to go digging for it.
That's it. Should be straightforward. I'll provide a SQL structure and CSV file for testing for the winning bid. Thanks.
