An old, rarely used, database needs to be brought online.
Machine that hosted the database is now virtualized. At the moment, the error is: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor.
An access via TeamViewer will be provided.
It is a custom made application developed years ago (Oracle 8).
Application was abandoned also years ago, but now there is a need for it's sporadic usage (maybe once or twice a month).
As far as I know, it is now sitting on Oracle 11.2.0. Both, client app and server are sitting on one machine. Upon migration, application worked for a while. At that period, virtualization of the machine was done, and now the error occur (as stated above).
I do have to mention that I have no relation in this project, I am only helping the guys to use my account, and I will be the guarantee for your payment. Therefore, my responses on this matter will be limited, but I will help as much as I can.

After successful job, the awarding party will negotiate export of all data from that database and moving them to an active one.
