Create a perl program that will lookup a MP3 link and album name from Amazon, given an artist name and a song title.
Should be called like "[login to view URL] -a "Artist Name" -t "Track Title"
It should return:
Amazon ASIN for the MP3 Track
Amazon URL for the album art
Album Name
When getting results from Amazon, you need to make sure that the artist name and track match. You'll need to deal with extra things in titles on the Amazon side like "(Original Version)" "(Album Version)" etc; and you'll need to make sure that Amazon hasn't given you a partial match. Example: Searching Amazon MP3 for "beatles - all you need is love" won't return a proper match, but it will return cover songs and other improper matches. These need to be filtered out. You'll probably also need to take into account that "&" and "and" are the same in titles when comparing.
Hi,
I could provide the script as requested. I have not used the Amazon Product Advertising API before, but I researched it and it seems very straightforward to use. I've also researched and picked the Perl modules I'll use for handling the http requests and parsing the xml response. I'll complete the work in two days for the stated bid.
