Hello, my name is Leopoldo and I’m a musician and electronic engineer from Argentina specialized in audio and acoustics. In 2004 I started working with music in personal projects, and during my career I focused my studies in acoustics and digital signal processing. Since 2006 I have been working in music writing, recording, editing and mixing for small bands and singers, taking advantage of the expertise gained in my career. I acquired advanced technical knowledge through my diploma in Acoustics and Electroacoustics, and I expanded my experience during my research at the CINTRA Acoustics Research Center. I have worked with audio signals processing for more than 3 years developing active noise control systems for car interiors, taking care of both the acoustic aspects of the problem and microcontroller programming. I have developed acoustic systems simulations in Matlab, acoustic parameters measurements with Dirac and SiaSmaart Live, and audio signal processing with Nuendo and Cubase. I have also designed and built vacuum tube based analog signal processors for electric guitar. I have a home studio fitted with professional equipment (Presonus soundcard, Mackie and Behringer studio monitors, Studio Project and Shure microphones, etc). I can go through the podcast and select the best excerpt to go in front, add the intro and outro, sort out several sections out of the podcast with time stamps and get it all uploaded to a wordpress website with the file length and size information. Hi, I've been editing audio for years now, because of my being a recording and mixing engineer. As you know, mixing music requires that each instrument is working timing-wise with the rest of them. For audio restoration work, I use the industry standard iZotope RX4, in conjunction with, again, industry standard EQ and Compression plugins. My business, Din Editing, focuses on audio editing. The large amount of editing I had to do over the years honed my skills down to a very fine level. I'm an avid podcast listener, consuming multiple podcasts daily...I even go to sleep listening to podcasts. I listen to some of the best sounding and best edited podcasts around, such as Home Studio Corner's "Ask Joe", The UBK Happy Funtime Hour, The Simply Recording Podcast. I used to listen to The Nerdist Podcast, Marc Maron's one and so on and so forth. Being subjected to such a large amount of podcasts definitely shapes how I will work on them.
