Job description:
create an add-on or plugin that extends the audio element functionality (HTML 5) in Firefox.
The idea is that apart of the currently supported audio formats in Firefox (linear PCM and Ogg) also mpeg 1 layer 2 audio (aka "mp2" audio) and mpeg 1 layer 3 audio (aka "mp3" audio) can be played.
So with the plugin/add-on it should be possible to do this:
<audio src="[login to view URL]" controls="controls">
</audio>
<audio src="[login to view URL]" controls="controls">
</audio>
Licensing:
I don't have any license for mp2 or mp3 audio, so the supplier should give me a suggestion of vendors that sell these audio libraries (if you would find royalty free licenses, all the better ;-). Remember: I will need both your own fee for the programming as the fee for the license before I can decide with which provider to work.
