Dear all
I'm an Egyptian female translator who learned English at a Scottish school in Egypt. I spent 14 years till I finished my high school where I studied everything about English and other science. I read about famous important authors and writers among those were Emille, Charlotte Bronte, William Wordsworth and the greatest among all Shakespeare. The 20th century drama is studied as well. Furthermore, I studied translation as a branch of English. Mainly we were translating Arabic into English and interpreting English novels into Arabic. That was a part of our study.
In addition, I studied Hotel and Tourism. Translation was also a part of our study specially interpretation, which gave me experience in the hospitality of the hotel sector.
Although I've been taught British English and studied its literature and civilization at college I do use the American Accent as I worked five consecutive years in a multinational computer company whose main office is in America. There, I learned how to deal with the PC's problems. Also I had to be an interpreter as part of my job description. I handled this in conferences, seminars and for press interviews with GM.
I decided to be a freelancer when I got married and I became busy with my family.I studied General Translation Diploma and will start subtitling. I have a part-time job. I prefer to work in the fields of science, Politics, history, literature and to some extent religion. Lately, I worked in my first Audio Transcription project where I showed much progress and independency as I didn't miss my deadline. In addition to what is mention, I had a bonus for quick delivery.
That is a brief introduction.
