I am a great fit for this project, I am working currently for a big plasma physics experiment and I use LabVIEW on a daily basis for automation and data acquisition. We have several diagnostics which use LabVIEW directly or indirectly for data acquisition: for example we have a doppler spectrometer and we have a thomson scattering system with data acquisition done using PXI digitizers, etc. I have a lot of experience with embedded programming and also with windows PXIs. I wrote many applications that use DAQmx and SCOPE drivers. I am very interested in the project, at some point we had a diagnostic system called moire, that I think was used to count X-rays for one of the experiments. I am not a physicist but I am familiar with some of the concepts used in physics diagnostics.
The requirements are somewhat abstracted from the job description found on linkedin but we will need to go over this again before I can commit. A possible issue could be that I am located in California and I think you are based in France. If we can use tools like team viewer or VPN access that should not be a problem.
The first thing is to have a better picture of the project, we can go over the HMI and understand the operations of the testbed. If everything is clear and there are no special components that are unknowns, I can start with the design, using LabVIEW recommended architecture and then with coding.
Thank you for considering this,
Best regards
Simone
