Measure frequency of sine wave as low as 200mv pk-pk. Frequency is normally at 50hz. Generate interrupt to micro controller when the rate of change of the frequency is > 0.5hz over 500ms. Again we are interested in the Rate of Change not a hard upper or lower threshold. The circuit must be adjustable to that we could chane the threshold from 0.5hz/500ms to say 1hz/500ms

This product needs to be designed properly in order to work correctly. I will design the schematic using some analog part where the it will take the input sinewave and shape it properly. Then there will be a microcontroler based frequency measurement thing to check the ROC (Rate of change) value of this frequency. It will be crystal trimmed so the precision of this measurement will be accurate enough. The center frequency will be used as 50Hz and when it changes X amount in the specified period then it will drive something you need it for, My bid includes Schematic design, a small PCB design which you can easily fabricate to assemble the parts on and the firmware. hi, I am an electrical engineer with experience of four years in embedded and power electronics industries. I have designed ofline UPS of 2 KVA with changeover in less than 3 ms. In this I used PLL and accurate frequency measurements This could be possible with the help of microcontrollers only.. Micro-controllers we can work on PIC, STM32, PSOC and AVR and also we have all the development kit and instruments available with us. For PCB design we use KICAD v4. Hi, Just wondering why you don't run a routine on your microcontroller to monitor the sin wave frequency on an analog input pin, chat to me about this because based on what you have said you shouldn't need any additional hardware.

I have worked on Op-amp based circuits extensively. This concept is achievable. I need some more details, such as does frequency of sine wave will be interpreted by micro controller as count, or by analog.
