Hello, As someone looking for his first serious project here, I think I would be an ideal candidate for this task. I am relatively familiar with both InDesign and Photoshop, less so with Illustrator although I can normally achieve my goal with time and care. I think a working knowledge of all these programs as well as the ability to employ the major elements of an office suite (writing, spreadsheet, etc) is something that is requisite to get this task completed. Being new to this, I would prefer a project that allows me to interact with the client on an on-going basis. I would assess my knowledge of InDesign in particular as intermediate--I have had a fair bit of classroom training on both the basics and long document creation. I don't think a catalogue (as we Canucks spell it) would be too difficult to produce and I would certainly enjoy the challenge of design and creation. And I always enjoy discussing techniques and ideas and sharing my own knowledge. This would be a part time undertaking for me as I work in the Canadian public service full time as a Quality Assurance Inspector for technical documents. I hope you will consider my candidacy for this task. Being new, I understand that I am not a proven commodity and am thus very flexible as to compensation and other terms. Familiar with daily, weekly and monthly production schedules. I have designed and produced catalogs ranging is size from 16 pages to more than 1,000 page supply catalogs adhering to weekly 32 to 36 page signatures for design and production schedules. I am an InDesign expert with photo editing experience. What he gave me was a catalog badly needing a redesign. The 130 pages included 250 new products and new color bars for the top/bottom of the pages were needed.
