Build a Website

We need you to build a website for our consulting business. We provide consulting services to corporates and development actors on conflict and governance issues. There will be 5 tabs on the homepage with the logo (already designed) being one of those. Each will have a pull down menu taking you to new pages/boxes open (need to decide functionality with you). We are estimating 20 - 25 pages. We have set it as a very small project because we do not anticipate it being complicated. It just needs to look amazing. There is no e-commerce, no blog, no video, no document storage, etc. It is not a complicated website to develop. You just need to have a good design feel. In time we would want to come back to you to increase the complexity of the website and pay you more accordingly. The website needs to be very professional, simple, clean, easy to navigate. It needs to let us punch above our weight as we are a small start up but want to come across very professional and competent. It needs to look expensive and clever. It will look something like [login to view URL], [login to view URL] (but with less tabs). It also needs to be optimised excellently for google and other search engines so our website comes up when key words are typed in. We will provide the content (text and images). It needs to appeal to both corporate and development actors who are quite different audiences. As a start up we need to be able to update the content easily. We have the domain name already www.cerno.solutions. It is hosted by 123-reg which is where we would intend to host this unless you have a better idea. We need it up and running by 1 April and will provide a detailed brief to the winner. We will want you to work with us cleverly from a design perspective to improve upon the brief we give you if you think you can make the functionality of the website better. We are new to website design but are very clear that the integrity and professionally of our new company will ride on making sure this website looks amazing will only hire the very best website designer we feel can work with us closely to realise our ambitions for an excellent end product.
