Commercial Graphic Design

Executive Summary: JW Engineering is currently searching for a graphical designer with industrial, medical and mobile/web/client software design experience. We are delivering a new suite of products that will span mobile and client side platforms integrated with web components. The product will target the Medical Training industry supporting a broad community of users and skill sets. Core to this project's success is providing a common vision with functional clarity that extends across all products in this suite. Applicants are requested to provide examples and resume that demonstrates clear understanding of the requirements below. Product branding/look must: 1. Be a hi-visibility UI. We don't want ambient lighting or screen angle changes to reduce the user’s ability to fully view the current state of the graphics. 2. All UI themes must be designed to persist across all platforms (currently iOS devices, future roll out to Android and Modern Windows) and UI. The user should not require extra training in UI component functional usage if they move from one of our products to the next. This must be a cohesive Vision. 3. We are interested in a design that favors icons/graphics over text to reduce localization costs. Application design Categories should be similar to (images and graphics should invoke visions of the following): 1. EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and EMT training 2. Clinical Medical Training for physicians, nurses and clinical staff. 3. In field triage both private sector and defense. 4. D.O.D - Frontline and clinical training of varied skilled personnel. 5. International, multi-national and multi-lingual. Few if any commonalities to a single region or ethnicity. Primary list of deliverables from designer: 1. Common iOS Icon set (adhering to the sizes and resolutions of the graphics for shippable iOS icons). 2. Splash Screens for start up and/or suite product navigation. 3. Support and experienced consulting input on: o "Screen Object Density" o "Screen Object Dimensions" o "ADA - Accessibility" o "Smart Navigation Configurations" o "Usability Practices from Industrial and Clinical Point of view", "ADA - Accessibility", "Smart Navigation Configurations", "Usability Practices from Industrial and Clinical Point of view" 4. Common graphic formats. Secondary list of deliverables from designer: 1. Continued relationship as we roll out new products and features. Provide input of Web Service deployments alongside product roll-outs.
