Experience and approach. First, I just don't design a logo in the computer right away. I start with a couple of research re: the client's target market / demographic. That way, the concepts and ideas that I put it in my sketches are backed up by reason rather than just something that looks good. Art is different from design. Also, I employ that the client takes part in the design process to make the approach, personal and special. And because collaboration is what separates the great logo from the mediocre ones. Lastly, logos are not meant to be rushed. That's why I usually take my time when it comes to crafting the logo that will be used by a business for a long period time.
