Artwork for a Concept Album

I'm looking for artists to send a basic sketch (with or without color) for the concept album "Sequoia." After reviewing the sketches, I will choose one artist to complete the full painting. That artist will receive 85$ upon completion of the painting. I have two basic conceptual ideas to choose from (as a reference). 1. A small tree - almost like a plant - above the surface of the ground. The ground could be full of briars, rocks, or generally barren. The sky could be dark or stormy. But underneath the ground is a massive root structure, connected to the small tree/plant. This will signify that while the tree is being beaten down above ground, it remains strong underneath. 2. Whereas the first idea focuses on the strength of the roots, this idea will focus on the tree. Instead of having a small tree/plant, have a larger tree that is bending and bowing under the weight of the wind and elements. I'm interested to see how different artists will envision this concept, and what they can come up with. I will accept basic sketches for the project over the next week and then choose an artist. For the final painting/illustration, I'll pay $85. I may not use the chosen painting as the final album artwork, but it will be used for something (i.e. t-shirt, poster, etc).
