Assistant Online Internet Marketing (Marketer)

This role is for an assistant to lead the (online) marketing efforts of an innovative Home Security company. The role requires a high level English communication skills, sound knowledge of the Internet and a strong ability to generate original ideas, solve problems and deliver results. Who Will You Work For? You will be working directly with the Founder of a successful and rapidly growing Home Security company. The product is extremely popular and it’s Free. Work Available You will work between 10-40 hours per week on an ongoing basis. We will commit to a minimum of 1 month at a time and pay you fortnightly. You will be given a large amount of input into what type of work you do. Ultimately the goal is just to generate new user registrations. - Writing basic articles - General online research - In-depth research – which may involve phone calls, asking questions in forums and e-mailing companies and specialists - Light image editing from time to time - Basic webmaster skills including uploading files, editing basic HTML, setting up e-mail accounts, basic CSS editing, etc. - Blogging skills including making posts, adding images to posts, categorizing, formatting and tagging. - Spam moderation, including moderating forums, comments and other user generated content - Conversion analysis including using Google website optimizer, setting up tests, applying changes to new test based on results - Minor amounts of data entry including working with Excel - Taking part in and contributing to online communities including forums, social networking and social bookmarking sites (like [login to view URL]) - Creating mini sites - Writing Press Releases - Implementation and management of an e-mail subscriber list - Setting up web promotion software - Market research and Keyword research - Basic editorial work including checking broken links, formatting posts, spelling and grammar - Search Engine Optimization - Monitoring website statistics - Building relationships with other business owners, journalists and bloggers, etc.
